Axl was born in a litter of pure bred German Shepherd pup. When he came of age, he was removed from the litter to be trained as a guarding dog for a widower, who then became his best and only friend. Axl's main purpose in life was to serve and fulfill his guard duties to his owner to the fullest of his abilites. His owner, being a man of eighty years old, passed away four years later, leaving Axl behind on his own. Axl left the house to try and fend for himself, becoming a stray dog.
